Referral

Clients or their families and physicians, social workers, discharge planners, insurance case managers, school representatives and community agencies can initiate the referral process. A pre-admission screening is scheduled without cost or obligation.

Admission Criteria

Individuals who are most likely to benefit from the services of the Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation

.....have achieved a stable level of medical recovery.

...are age 4 or older.

...are functioning at a cognitive level on the Ranchos Los Amigos
Scale of 4 or above.

The Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation is licensed as a Transitional Living Facility,
which provides "specialized health care services " to children and adults that have sustained
TBI or other forms of Neurologic impairment.

The Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation is also licensed as a Child Caring Facility
for pediatric clients with similar conditions.
